Terms of Service
The agreement between you and StarFit. We wrote this in plain language so you can actually read it.

1. Introduction & Acceptance
Welcome to StarFit. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StarFit website at starfit.com, our mobile applications, and all related services (together, the "Platform"). StarFit is a product operated by FITSTARS FZCO, a free-zone company registered in the United Arab Emirates, License No. 25469, TRN 104109774000003, with its registered address at Dubai Silicon Oasis (IFZA Properties, DSO-IFZA), Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("FitStars," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, purchasing a course, or simply using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use StarFit.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and FITSTARS FZCO. They include a binding arbitration provision and a class-action waiver in Section 14, which affect how disputes are resolved. We encourage you to read them carefully before you start using the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a StarFit account or use any paid features of the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
If you are accessing the Platform from within the European Union, you also confirm that you are old enough under your country's data protection laws to consent to the processing of your personal data. In most EU member states, this age is 16 or older.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will close the account and delete the associated data.
3. User Accounts
To access most features of StarFit, you need to create an account. When you do, you agree to the following:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@starfit.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Do not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person.
Each account is for a single individual. One subscription provides access on multiple personal devices (phone, tablet, computer), but simultaneous use on more than two devices is not permitted.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, show signs of fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for more than 24 months.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
StarFit offers several paid options:
- Single Course — a one-time purchase of $18.99 USD for a specific program (such as the Wall Pilates 28-Day Challenge). Once purchased, you retain lifetime access to that course.
- $4.99 7-Day Trial — our headline offer. A $4.99 fee buys 7 days of immediate, full-platform access. The trial fee is non-refundable. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it automatically converts to the monthly membership (see Section 5).
- Monthly Membership — $39 USD per month, billed automatically each month. Full access to all programs, the AI Coach, Growth Garden streaks, and new content as it is released.
Prices are listed in US dollars. Applicable taxes (including VAT for EU residents) may be added at checkout depending on your location. We may offer additional or promotional plans from time to time; the terms shown at checkout apply to those plans.
Payment processing. Payments are handled by our trusted third-party processors:
- Stripe processes single course purchases and certain one-time payments.
- Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for subscription payments. Paddle handles invoicing, sales tax, and VAT on our behalf. When you subscribe, your contractual relationship for payment purposes is with Paddle.com Market Limited (for customers outside the US) or Paddle.com Inc (for US customers).
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from your account settings.
Price changes. We may adjust subscription pricing. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days written notice before the new price applies. Your continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5. Trials & Conversion
The $4.99 7-day trial. Our main entry offer is a $4.99 trial that gives you 7 days of immediate, full-platform access. The $4.99 trial fee is non-refundable, because it buys you access right away. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial automatically converts to the $39 per month membership, and your card is charged when the 7-day period finishes. The membership then auto-renews monthly until you cancel.
Free trials. We may also offer a free trial for some plans. Where a trial is free, you provide a valid payment method when you start it, and the trial automatically converts to the applicable paid plan unless you cancel before it ends.
Canceling. You can cancel anytime from your account settings. If you cancel during a trial, you keep access until the trial period ends and you are not charged the conversion fee. If you cancel a paid membership, you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for and future renewals stop.
Trials are limited to one per person. If we detect that you have previously used a trial (for instance, with a different email address), we may decline a new trial or begin billing immediately.
6. Refund Policy
Our full Refund Policy governs refunds. Here is the summary.
Trial fee. The $4.99 7-day trial fee is non-refundable, because it gives you immediate full access. To avoid the $39 per month charge, cancel before the trial ends.
Results guarantee. Your membership is covered by a results guarantee. If you complete a StarFit program or challenge in full as scheduled and you genuinely do not see or feel results, you can request a refund of the membership charge for that program period. Because this is a results guarantee rather than a change-of-mind refund, you need to show you actually did the program. We verify your completed workouts automatically from your in-app progress history; you may also provide screenshots. Submit within 7 days of completing the final day of the program. Each request is reviewed individually.
Renewals. Membership renewals beyond the results guarantee are non-refundable for elapsed or partial billing periods. Cancel anytime to prevent future charges.
One-time courses. Single course purchases are fully refundable within 14 days of purchase.
EU & UK consumers. If you reside in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. By consenting to immediate access and starting to stream or download digital content, you may lose that withdrawal right once the content is fully delivered, in accordance with applicable law. Your statutory rights are not affected.
7. User Conduct
StarFit is a space built for encouragement, progress, and wellbeing. To keep it that way, you agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from any part of the Platform.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access or collect data from the Platform without our written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's servers, networks, or infrastructure.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Upload or share content that is harmful, abusive, threatening, or violates the rights of others.
- Redistribute, resell, or publicly display workout videos, exercise content, or AI Coach responses without authorization.
- Use the Platform to promote competing services, products, or businesses.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these rules, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform belongs to FITSTARS FZCO or its licensors. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Workout videos and exercise demonstrations.
- Written exercise descriptions, trainer cues, and coaching instructions.
- Responses and content generated by the AI Coach.
- The StarFit brand, logo, Growth Garden visual assets, and all design elements.
- The underlying software, algorithms, and platform architecture.
Your subscription or purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the content for your personal, non-commercial fitness purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, broadcast, display publicly, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any Platform content without our explicit written consent.
Your content. If you submit content to the Platform (such as profile information, progress photos, or feedback), you retain ownership of that content. However, you grant StarFit a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and improving the Platform. You can revoke this license by deleting the content or your account.
9. AI Coach Disclaimer
StarFit includes an AI-powered fitness coach ("AI Coach") that provides personalized workout suggestions, exercise modifications, motivational support, and general fitness guidance.
The AI Coach is not a medical professional. Its responses are generated by artificial intelligence and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI Coach cannot replace the judgment of a qualified physician, physiotherapist, or certified fitness professional.
The AI Coach aims to be helpful and supportive, but it may occasionally provide information that is incomplete, inaccurate, or not suitable for your specific health situation. Always use your own judgment and consult a healthcare provider if you have concerns about whether a particular exercise is safe for you.
By using the AI Coach, you acknowledge that you do so at your own discretion and risk. StarFit is not liable for any injury, health complication, or other harm that may result from following AI Coach suggestions.
10. Health & Safety Disclaimer
Exercise carries inherent risks. Before beginning any fitness program, including StarFit workouts, you should consult with a qualified healthcare professional. This is especially important if you:
- Have a pre-existing medical condition (heart disease, diabetes, joint problems, or other chronic conditions).
- Are pregnant or postpartum.
- Are recovering from surgery or an injury.
- Have not exercised regularly in the past 12 months.
- Take medications that may affect your ability to exercise safely.
StarFit provides fitness content for educational and informational purposes. Our workouts are designed to be gentle and accessible, but they are not a substitute for professional medical evaluation.
By using the Platform, you represent that you are in sufficient physical health to participate in the exercises offered and that you have obtained any necessary medical clearance. You agree to stop exercising immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other concerning symptoms.
StarFit, FITSTARS FZCO, its trainers, and its staff are not responsible for any injuries sustained during physical activity on the Platform. For more detail, see our Health Disclaimer.
11. Third-Party Services
StarFit relies on trusted third-party services to deliver a reliable experience. These include:
- Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing for course purchases. Subject to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Paddle (paddle.com) — subscription billing, invoicing, tax handling as Merchant of Record. Subject to Paddle's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Kinescope (kinescope.io) — secure video hosting and streaming for workout content.
- OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) — AI model routing for the AI Coach feature. Conversations with the AI Coach are processed through this service.
We select our partners with care, but we do not control their services. Each third-party service operates under its own terms and privacy policy. We encourage you to review their terms independently.
StarFit is not responsible for downtime, data handling, or service changes by third-party providers, though we work to minimize any impact on your experience.
12. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
"As is" disclaimer.To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is accurate or suitable for your specific situation. As stated in Sections 9 and 10, we are not responsible for injuries sustained during physical activity.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- FITSTARS FZCO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims related to the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) US$100 or (b) the amounts you paid to StarFit in the twelve (12) months preceding the event that gave rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including server failures, internet outages, natural disasters, or actions by third-party service providers.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Termination
By you. You can close your account at any time by contacting us at support@starfit.com or through your account settings. If you have an active subscription, canceling your account also cancels your subscription. You retain access until the end of the current billing period.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Platform in a way that harms other users or the service. Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue before termination.
After termination. Upon account closure, your right to access the Platform ends. We may retain certain data as required by law or legitimate business purposes (such as transaction records for tax compliance). Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Purchased courses. If we terminate your account without cause, you will retain access to any courses you purchased with a one-time payment. If your account is terminated for a breach of these Terms, all access is revoked.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Platform are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Platform is operated and controlled from the United Arab Emirates.
Informal resolution first. Before starting arbitration, you agree to send us a written notice of dispute and give us 45 days to resolve it. The notice must include your name, your address, a written description of your claim, and the relief you are seeking. Send it to support@starfit.com or hello@fitstars.ae. Many disputes can be settled this way.
Binding arbitration.If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, it will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) under its rules. The seat of arbitration is Dubai, and a sole arbitrator will be appointed in accordance with the DIAC rules. The arbitrator's award is final and binding.
Class-action waiver. You and FitStars agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to hello@fitstars.ae within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved by the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
EU & UK consumers. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the consumer protection laws of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms removes your right to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices.
How we notify you. For material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days before the updated Terms take effect. Notification may be via email (to the address on your account), an in-app banner, or a prominent notice on the Platform.
Your options. If you disagree with the updated Terms, you may close your account before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Minor, non-material changes (such as correcting typos or clarifying language without changing meaning) may be made without advance notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
