Eight years ago, I was running a small lifestyle page, but not consistently ā Iād post for friends, with no plan or purpose. Honestly, I never thought it would turn into a blog.
About a year ago, Katerina and her husband started recording short reels about IT (he works in tech, she doesnāt) ā and to their surprise, those videos began gaining popularity. At the time, they were moving from country to country and sharing snippets of their nomadic life, which attracted travelers, digital nomads, and IT specialists to her page.

I showed up on camera in pajamas, without makeup, messy bun and all. At first, it felt awkward to post like that, but then I saw how people responded to the simplicity. They thanked me for being āreal.ā Thatās when I relaxed ā and started posting for fun, without filters or pretenses. I think thatās what really helped my blog grow.
The blog evolved alongside her life. It started as a āmom blog,ā then became a ātech wife blog,ā and now itās a mix of everything ā fitness, travel, IT, humor, parenting, recipes. In the end, it became a reflection of her real, colorful, and never-boring life. Today, she and her family live in Valencia, Spain, travel often, bike a lot, and keep exploring new places together.

I donāt just like to post where I am or what Iām doing ā I love telling stories through emotions, atmosphere, and little observations. For me, itās not about just uploading content, itās about living the moments together with my audience.

I think thatās the most important thing! Iām not trying to pretend to be someone else. Iām just myself ā and people can see that.

Do I have a personal motto in life? Honestly, no š I just live the way I want. Sometimes itās spontaneous, sometimes itās planned ā but itās always real!
Of course, blogging isnāt all positive. With popularity also comes negativity and hate. Katerina has faced it, too:
Sometimes, even under the most harmless videos, people would pour out so much negativity that Iād withdraw for a few days, replaying in my head:Ā āWhat if Iām doing everything wrong?āĀ But eventually, I realized ā you canāt please everyone. Iām not writing for everyone, Iām writing forĀ my people, those who connect with me. That helps me stay on track. So I just keep doing what I love and being myself.
But the good still outweighs the bad.Ā When messages of gratitude fill her inbox, Katerina admits she still feels shy:

Every time, I catch myself thinking: āThey must have sent this to the wrong person.ā Maybe itās impostor syndrome, or maybe just surprise. I never imagined I could be someoneās role model. But when I read those letters, I know theyāre meant for me ā and it touches me deeply.

Iāve never liked gyms ā too much time wasted on the commute, loud music, bright lights, crowded locker rooms. Not for me. At home, itās just me, my mat, and peace. I tried a few workouts⦠and then stopped for almost a year.
The turning point cameĀ in January 2025.

I went into a fitting room to buy lingerie. I stood in front of the mirror, looked at myself, and realized ā I really didnāt like my reflection. I even filmed a video for my friend, crying, showing the cellulite on my ribs. That was the moment I knew I had to change.

That same night, she dusted off her StarFit subscription, rolled out her mat, and started small.
At that point she weighed 141 lbs (64 kg), wasnāt exercising at all, ate a lot of fast food, desserts with coffee every day, and had her usual Friday wine-and-chips routine.
First results: āMinus 4 pounds without dietingā

I just started ā with one mat, one workout, one decision. Step by step, I got back my body, my health, my energy, and my self-love.
At first, her main goal was simple: flatten her stomach and ease her back pain from sitting too much. So every morning, before breakfast, she did one workout ā like a replacement for morning stretches. And she stuck with it daily for two straight months.

I took it a step further. First, I cut out sweets ā cakes, candies, ice cream, chocolate. Then chips and fast food, and later alcohol. And I did it all without extremes. I didnāt count calories or track macros, didnāt keep spreadsheets or apps. I just slowly changed my habits. Even pasta I started eating less of ā but not on purpose, it just happened naturally.
Along with her morning pilates, she later added evening strength and cardio workouts.

And thatās how I spent 6 months ā no burnout, no obsession, just steady consistency.

Her body started changing gradually but steadily. The back pain disappeared, her energy levels went up, and she began to feel stronger ā not only physically but also mentally. Losing 26 pounds (12 kg) was a nice bonus, but the biggest result was how her attitude toward herself completely shifted.

Over the past year, Katerinaās life has changed in many ways:
She hasnāt had alcohol for 5 months ā a big achievement for her, since a glass of wine with a show used to feel like a normal routine.
Sheās been working out every single day for more than half a year ā no breaks, no excuses. Even while traveling or on vacation, her mat is always with her (she even has highlights of doing downward dogs in airports and the narrow aisle of an airplane š).
Sheās fully adapted to a new country ā the move wasnāt easy, but now she has her favorite routes, stores, friends, and a true sense of home.
She learned how to ride a bike ā and now goes on 25-mile (40 km) rides! Something that once seemed impossible has become part of her everyday life.

When I first started losing weight and getting back in shape, I wasnāt an ambassador yet and didnāt even think about it. I was doing it purely for myself. But after I lost about 18 pounds (8 kg) thanks to StarFit home workouts, something clicked: why not share this in my blog? I was already using the platform actively, and I saw for myself how well it worked.

I want people to see: you donāt have to give up every treat or work out for two hours a day. You can just start small ā 20 minutes a day ā and it will already bring results.
